Chemo is over

Mari has finally finished 8 months of chemo which is a wonderful relief. Eventually they found a vein this morning after several attempts, Mari did react to one of the drugs with cold, shivering and increased temperature. She had to be given extra steroids to combat the reaction. She is now in bed recovering.

Mari will have to go back for a scan in the middle of January to determine whether more treatment is needed. It would be wonderful if she didn't need any. She has a month to get over the battering her body has had over the past months.

We will update again over the next few days. We want you all to know how grateful Mari is for the love, support, prayer and encouragement you have given in recent months.

Thanks again
With love
The Days and Phil

Brilliant - well done Mari.
Now enjoy some time off, you deserve it. I will be praying that the treatment has been completely effective and I'm sure I won't be the only one!
A very happy and restful Christmas to you all.

A milestone achieved! May the month of rest be relaxing and fun. Will continue to pray for Mari, especially that her body recovers quickly over the next few weeks, and for good results next year.

Well done all - you've been inspirational.

So glad this phase is over. At least you can relax over Cristmas secure in the knowledge that you don't have to go back to the torture cell until mid-January. Have a wonderful Christmas, all of you and CELEBRATE our Savious's birth like you never have before. BE BLESSED!!! We love you and long for the day when all this is but a distant memory.

Awesome : Awesome : Awesome

We are so very thrilled that the ordeal is over and soon is also 2008, and a brand new year is stepping in, in just a few weeks! Our prayers and love our with you Mari and good on you for being brave and hanging on and going thru all that you have endured in 2008.

We are praying that 2009 will bring glad tidings and that you would not need to undergo anymore treatment and that the cancer would have all disappeared! Believe that you will have a restful and peaceful Christmas and enjoy every bit of the wonderful season.

We love You!

Dearest Mari, It's not often that I feel at a loss for words but the last week or so, and particularly the last few days as I have been aware of you coming to the end of your chemotherapy treatment, this is how I have felt. As I sit here, the tears in my eyes would probably say more than this message if you could see them. My friend, I am so pleased this part of your fight is over. All that is left to say is that I love you dearly, and am going to continue to pray for/with, and stand by you as you step into a new phase of your recovery. Love Lisa. XX

Well done Mari and Happy Christmas!

I pray that the new year will bring a definite end to that chapter (of the book you'll obviously be writing one day) and that there will be a sense of rebirth and second wind in every area of your life (so that even after you've finished the first book, there will be public demand for the sequel).
