Monday afternoon

Mari, Dave and Rhi have just returned from Southmead which was a chance to talk face to face with the specialist and go over things that were said on the phone. The next stage of treatment will be at Bristol Royal Infirmary and Mari should have an appointment there in the next couple of weeks.

We were told of the possible treatments that will be proposed and the probable side effects of them. The treatment will include Radiotherapy and some form of chemotherapy.Mari's preference would be to just have the radiotherapy because of short and long term effect of the chemo. It would appear that the tumour involved is one that wasn't completely dealt with first time round rather than a new cancer.

The Doctor told Mari that the best thing she could do is go away for a few days so she will fly out to New York tomorrow. It wont delay the next appointment.

As you can imagine, it is still sinking in and there is so much for Mari to process which she is bravely facing.

Thanks again for your love, support and prayers. They are so appreciated.

With much love
The Days

Wow New York.. wish I could come..
Lots of us praying for you here, though so many new people here now at Iosis.
Good news that this is not a new tumour.. so our prayer is that the radiotherapy will do it.
Every blessing.. enjoy the big apple..

"If I take the wings of the morning" (Ps 139)seems writ over his day. May you know the relaxation and enjoyment of being in those faraway places, and the peace that passes understanding in those innermost places.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hi Mari, Dave, and Rhi

You are constantly in my thoughts and the girls and I are praying for you.

I am so pleased that this isn't a new tumor and am praying you will all have the strength to endure. That will be my constant prayer for you.

I will ring in the next couple of days when you have had a chance to get back home Dave, and Mari to get away too - I hope New York will be a special time Mari.

Much love to you all

Dear Mari,

I happened to, by chance, check your blog this evening and read the unpleasant news. I am so so sorry to hear this. This must be just terrible news for you all again.

We're praying for you Mari, and will continue to. God has got you in the palm of His hands.

Hope you enjoy your days off in NY!

Huggs,
Debbie

Hi Mari, Dave and Rhi,
We were so stunned and sorry to hear about the recurrence of a tumour in Mari.
That is hard news and we will be praying for you.
God is still good but it's so difficult to understand why these things happen.
Lots of love,
Andy and Gill
