Well... first for the bad news... the surgery still hasn't happened and Mari is feeling quite weak from not being able to eat or drink all day (in preparation for surgery)
In better news, the CT Scan happened (finally!) around 4pm
In even better news, Mari is leaving the hospital now and will be staying with her mum with family friends over the weekend. That will give her a couple of days to rest and recover before having to go back to the hospital on Monday (not sure if this should be in the "better news" category???)
Surgery is now scheduled for Wednesday (not sure if that is good or bad news)
Mari isn't taking phone calls at the moment, but you can communicate with her by text, email or by leaving a comment on this blog.

Hi Mari
I'm a bit of a novice Blogger so I hope I've done this right...Anyway I just wanted to say hi and that I'm praying for you. You've been a real inspiration to me over recent years, and to many of us I'm sure. Sorry to hear the surgery was postponed again but I hope you get a bit of good rest over the weekend. I'll be praying for you regularly and so are loads of us over here.
Lots of love
Rachel Foley xx
Hi Mari and Rhi,
We are thinking and praying for you. Have a good rest over the weekend, and let God prepare you for the week ahead, rest in His love and let His arms surround you both.
Oceans of love

Hi,
Mari and Rhi,
The news has percolated through to deepest Devon and you are in my thoughts and prayers often. My prayer triplet (which has 5 members - we're numerically challenged) is praying too. Isn't the family of God an amazing thing?
Love, peace and hope to you both

I feel so much love for you and your mum. I want to hug you and squeeze you. Hope the weekend is a relief from the hospital which I know you very much dislike, and you, your mum and Phil are able to rest well and get your mind off things for a bit. Good to hear you will have some chick flicks to watch. LOVE a quality cheesy movie!! I can only imagine what you must be feeling - as erin says, you are constantly on my mind and I am always praying for you. My family send their love as does Pete.
You have always been an advocate for people (churches) acting out of a sense of community to those in need. You have given so much. Right now there is a HUGE community of people (many that have learnt from you - including myself) praying for and sending their love to you in your time of need. Let us love you and be the community you need. Know God is holding you in His hands Mari, and when you don't feel it, know that WE - your community - are also holding you in God's hands too.
All my love and blessings to you Mariella.

Dear Mari and Rhi,
Hope you're enjoying your escape from the ward and a chance to eat some decent food (although it sounds like ANY food would have been nice). Trusting that the weekend will be a good break and a chance to get some rest. We all send our love (including Milan). Can't wait to see you - Campbell started clapping yesterday so I'll try and video the boys doing a performance for you. Jack is very good at tantrums. xx Shalome
Dear Mari and Rhi,
Hope you're enjoying your escape from the ward and some decent food (although it sounds like ANY food would have been nice). I keep thinking of that verse "I will see the hand of the Lord in the land of the living". We all send our love (including Milan).Trusting that the weekend will be a much needed break and rest for you both. xx Shalome
OK - obviously I am useless at this so perhaps I'll stick to txts!
Hi Mari, Rhi and all,
We, in the U.S. of A., are praying for you and wishing only the very best as you travel through the next days and weeks ahead. We're praying for complete healing. Until then, may God's peace rest over you and your family.
Love, Sandy and Russ Jensen
Dearest Mariella
I hope this message reaches you (not sure if it will as I am a beginner when it comes to blogging!!) and that you are able to get some quality rest in nicer surroundings than the hospital.
Luce passed on your news and I just wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts every day.
Sending lots of love a very special person

Hi Mari
How has today been? I have been at the Carey graduation today and was asked how you were doing. It has been a big shock to so many of us Mari.I hope you are feeling that big squeeze from your heavenly Father.Lots of love to you and night night sleep tight, and who really cares if the bugs bite. I pray God's healing power through you as you sleep Mari.XXXXX C and J
Dear Mari,
We're praying for you too. Hang on in there. God is good.
Lots of love,
Andy, Gill and Megan
PS. Don't let your mum get into too much trouble while she is in NZ!
Hi Mari & Rhi,
How's our best flower-girl of 17 years ago today? Glad you enjoyed your nosh yesterday and hope you have some more treats today. You are in our thoughts and prayers constantly - especially strength for the week ahead. Lots of love, Steve, Raewyn, Katie and Luke XXXX
Hey Mari,
That last comment was from Mum, but I want to say something too. I'm praying for you, and remembering all the lovely things you've done for me over the years - sending me little parcels for my birthday, etc. You've always been someone I've looked up to, admired, and aspired to be like. Something I'll always associate with you is the smell of coconut oil!
There's a song by Delirious that I think is highly appropriate...
"And I'll hang on to You
Nothing in this world can see me through, only You..."
Hang on to Him tightly, and remember the love coming from all directions. Stay strong, keep smiling.
Lots of love,
Katie.

Hello Gorgeous, I am keeping an eye on this blog to check how you are getting on. I am off on the road for a few weeks, and dont know how good the internet access will be, but I will check as much as I can. If I cant leave you any messages, please know that I am thinking of you ALL THE TIME. I miss your beautiful smile so keep it beaming. I remember once you said to me 'you are made of strong stuff, Dawn'. I dont know why, but I never forgot it. And you are too. I have so much faith that you will be better soon.
I love you, I miss you, I think of you always. All my kisses, Dawn P x x

Hi Mari
It doesn't seem that long since you and Laura were dressing up your cat!...
Just to let you know we're thinking of you and praying for you, that all will go as well as poss next week, that you will soon be well enough to come to the UK and that you will find healing, and know God's peace and presence in the meantime.
much love to you and Rhi, Linda & Ian
We prayed for you at church today, these are some of the prayers;
-Mari, as we were worshipping we sang a song that had the line,"In your presence we find strength to face the day," I think God wanted you to know this. Love you lots. Always in my thoughts, Clare L
-Isaiah 43"I have called you by name and you are mine..."
-Lord we dont know what to pray but we ask that you do your good will, even though i dont understand it. Heal, Look after love and care for Mari, put your arms around her and comfort her and her family. Bring your peace Lord, reign in this situation. Bring your grace let your spirit be active. God let- Mari know you are close, protect and care for her.
-Lord thank you that you are a God that heals.
Hi Mari and Rhi,
