Thanks a million for your messages while I was in hospital. I am so pleased to have put that behind me now and I'm still REALLY enjoying being at home, in my own bed ... free from drips, injections, hospital smells/sounds etc....
I am doing pretty well post chemo ( better than expected) and so I just wanted to let you know.
Thanks again for your amazing support. Mum and Dad would print off the blog messages and bring them in to hospital each morning for me to read. Your messages really did brighten up my days!

Purpose of this blog...
Mari has been diagnosed with "Lymphoma Cancer", also known as "Hodgkins Disease".
Mari is expected to need two years of treatment. She is planning on leaving for England very soon to begin treatment there.
Leah Burson is organising ways for care packages to be delivered to Mari, so if you have a treat that you would like to send her to cheer her up please email: leahburson@gmail.com.

So pleased that this round of chemo has been better Mari - couldn't bear to think of you going through anymore of what you have been through these past few weeks.
Went to Taupo yesterday for supervision and Taupo always makes me think of you all for some reason - I know it is one of your special NZ places - couldn't see the lake though at all due to low cloud and rain!
Just a quick posting to say still thinking of you all and thanks so much for keeping us updated too.
