Update

Mari had a long day in the Bristol Royal Infirmary yesterday in preparation for her surgery which is to be next Thursday 29th. The surgeon told her they will be testing for one of four possibilities. The possibilities are; Hodgkins Lymphoma, Thymus rebound, thymoma ( a benign tumour on the thymus which would require major surgery), or a teratoma. Of these a thymic rebound would be the most preferable!

Mari will go in early on Thursday, have the surgery under a general anaesthetic and hopefully be home that day. The results from the biopsy will take 5-10 days but we are hoping they will be ready in time for her next hospital appointment on the 5th November.

We are still in a bit of a state of limbo and there is a lot of waiting around for Mari with uncertainty about what to expect so we are grateful for all of your prayer, love and support. We will let you know how the surgery goes.

Hi Mari, Dave, Rhi and Phil

You are so good at updating us so soon.

Have been very mindful this week of how much it must keep taking for you to go through all these proceedures and operations Mari and for you all, so I will be praying for you to have the strength to face next Thursday and for the absolute best outcome possible.

Keeping you very much in my thoughts.

Much love

it all sounds rather complicated, and must be hard to be waiting with all those possibilities... will be praying for the most positive outcome and for grace in it all...

Thank you for the update; we're praying for you all. I've put Mari's name in my diary for next Thursday and, as my family and some friends know, once something's reached those hallowed pages the prayer will happen even though the earth shake and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea...

Love from Mary, Terry, Abbie and Matt Wood

Hello darling girl
I pray that you find things to occupy your mind and time that are both interesting and calming for you the next few days: stay away from Monopoly - I have found it to be quite stressful. I love you a lot and know that people all over the world are praying and thinking of you. Such a big community of love and support are behind you all the way Mari Day. (Didn't mean to rhyme then)

Hi darling Mari,
I thought of you today when I was trawling the op-shops. I saw some lovely scarves and i purposely did not buy you any more because I am praying you will never need them again! If you are up and about and cant sleep at all, text me and I will call you babe! Thinking of you constantly over the next few days, and always do anyway! I miss you heaps and send you all the ginga love in the world! Please share a little of it with Phil, Rhi and Dave. ps. Mark thought of you and Rhi and laughed out loud the other day when he walked past 2 girls busking in town, singing in very pretty voices, 'your sex is on fire' by kings of leon! ha ha! Please dont read that out of context!!!
