End of Round 12

Mari is now 3/4s of the way through her chemo. Today started off well with the Nurse quickly finding a vein which was a relief, however parts of today were quite gruelling. She was not too well after the pneumonia and various injections from earlier this week and the chemo was fairly torrid today. It does seem to vary from session to session. Her temperature was starting to rise through the chemo so we have to watch that over the next couple of days. She has gone straight to bed on arriving home.

Please pray that her temperature will stabilise, otherwise it is straight back into hospital. Pray too that the chemo will do its work. She will have a scan before the final treatment to determine whether the cancer has gone. We would all love that to be the case.

Many thanks again for your love and concern.

God bless
With love
Dave, Rhi, Phil and Mari

Dearest Mari, what a day you have survived/endured. This feels to me like quite a milestone in your treatment. You have come so far Mari, I am so proud of you. I will certainly continue to pray, especially that you can remain resting/recovering at home. I will be petitioning to God daily for that scan we are all hoping for. May God do immeasurably more than we could ask or even imagine over the next few months. Love you deear one, Lisa XX

Dear Mari,

Phew, what a day...hope you are able to really recover and stabilize in the coming days.

Will specially be praying and believing that the chemo has done its job and that the scan will show likewise.

Love you and standing with you all in prayer!

Love, Debbie & Johan

Hi Dave, Rhi, Mari and Phil

A proper email almost finished (!) from Ella and I coming very soon but thought I'd post a message in the meantime.

Lisa's posting says it all so well - I too will be 'petitioning' for a complete healing for Mari over these last chemo treatments.

You have been in my thoughts even more then usual as we have been having a huge cancer awareness campaign here so I have been reading a lot about others experiences of chemo and again just think you are so brave Mari ( and you all).

Heaps of love to you all

Hi Mari

I hope your temperature has come down and you are starting to feel less like a pin cushion :) You are incredibly brave and patient. If/when you feel up to any of these I can offer the following
- extensive DVD and book collection
- bespoke music compilations (lots of music on my ITunes) or loan of Ipod
- a visit
- magazines
- meals/cake dropping round or making if your parents/Phil are feeling knackered. This is a slight risk as I can occasionally make horrid food but mostly it turns out OK
- my number (07912849447)

Do take me up on any of the above or anything else you can think of. I hope this coming week is a restful one. I've been visiting very-pregnant Sarah this weekend and she sends her love and best wishes

Love
Josie xx

Hi Mari,

Just wanted to tell you that I took your picture to a prayer group our church has just started mainly because a good friend has been diagnosed in the last few months with terminal cancer. We we are believing for a miracle of complete healing and encouraging anyone to come for prayer for healing. We had a great time praying for you last night (Wed 22 at about 8 - 8.30 NZ time). We will continue to pray for you at the group for all aspects of your healing and experience in general as Phil and I do together for you too. All our continuing love to you, Love Kate Ball

Hi Mari
Been thinking of yu heaps lately and wishing I could pop in for a cup of tea. I'm not much good at writing stuff, but I hope you know you are missed and loved and I'm still asking God to help you through this and give you healing. Also that you will hear the sound of His voice - because when He speaks it changes everything. Love you lots. Janine

Hi Mari, Dave, Rhi & Phil...
You've been on our hearts and we wanted to let you know. As we read some of what you've been experiencing, it keeps us asking the Father for grace, grace, and more grace for you these days, and for full health restored to you, Mari. Your family is loved here across the pond...
