A long day in the haemotology ward

Hiah,
It is late Friday afternoon and we have just got back from hospital. We were in hospital for over 7 hours today. One of the drugs was slightly more painful this time round for Mari, but nothing major ( her chemotherapy consists of 4 different drugs, it is known as ABVD). Since getting home she has gone straight to bed - feeling exhausted and wiped out ( she likens it to severe jet lag). We will let you know how she gets on over the following days. Thanks for praying again for minimal side effects.
Have a good weekend.
With Love from us.

I just wanted to let you all know that I am thinking of you and praying since I heard about Mari's illness (I heard via Megan L who I was out on the van with the other week) - Is 40: 31 is for you, Mari - and for all of you. I will keep praying and will keep checking the blog for updates (Katie S told me about it today at church). Lots of love to you all. You are a wonderful, inspiring family and I know God is helping you through this and will continue to do so.

Hi Mari - It's the end of Queen's Birthday Holiday Monday here - do hope you are into the "feeling better phase" after your long treatment on Friday. That's a long time to be in the ward - do they administer the drugs 1 x 1, or did they have to go more slowly because of the effect on you?
You sound as if you are coping really well with the rhythms of the cycles of treatment. Have you managed to do anything exciting during the times of feeling "normal?"
Hope you and Phil are able to get some quality time together and that he is settling in o.k.
Lots of love to you two and Dave and Rhi!
