Mari has survived the first week after chemo. She had a mixture of good and rough days and is trying to get used to the reactions of the chemotherapy on her body.
This week Mari has hospital visits on Tuesday and Thursday before next bout of chemo on Friday. These are to enable the Drs to see how Mari is coping and to do blood tests to ensure that she is well enough for the treatment on Friday.
Phil has his interview for his visa on Tuesday. It would be great if that could be dealt wth quickly
We will update after Tuesday's appointment.
Thanks again for standing with us
God bless
With love

Hi Mariday
Yay! I am first to comment today. I will get the Monday night prayer group praying for phil's visa and of course for your journey through the chemotherapy trail. Think of us as part of your support team! You are certainly part of us and we are with you cheering you on, my friend. xx Sandy
Hi Mari, Dave & Rhi
Katie and I are at school - opening night of the Production tonight. Just thought I'd check your blog before sorting out the musicians and getting on with the evening.
Another big week for you - you're certainly going to be expert at finding strength for each day and living in the moment after all of this is over.
Sending you lots of love as always. It's great being able to check this every day and get the latest updates.
Raewyn & Katie XX
Dear Mari,
The first week done, soon the final one would be well in on its way...Praying that you find courage and strength for each step. By the time this is all done, you would have become bolder and more confident in relying on His strength and love for you!
Sending prayers and love,
Debbie and Johan, Sweden
good morning mari dave and rhi just a little message to send all of my love and prayers. we had our prayer breakfast on saturday and remembererd all of you. we will keep on praying and standing with you, right by your side. love as always jan from brightonxxxxxxxxxx.
Well done Mari. A week behind you. I am sure the first week must be the worst, not knowing what to expect, etc. Here's a puzzle for you think about as you wait in hospitals:
Three lads in a flat go out to buy a TV. They see one in a shop window for £30. Great think they, that's £10 each, so they buy it from the sales assistant and carry it home.
Shortly after the shop manager arrives and notices the TV is missing. "Oh no!" says he, being an honest man. "I meant to reduce it to £25." He gives the sales assistant £5 to take round to the lad's flat.
On the way the sales assistant, being not so honest as his boss, thinks to himself "Ah ha, the boys don't know I am bringing them the money" and he pockets £2.
He gets to the flat and gives the boys back £3. They are delighted.
This means they have only spent £9 each.
£9 x 3 = £27
+ £2 that the assistant pocketed = £29
What happened to the other £1
Lots of love,
Andy and Gill
My deleted post said Gordon Brown.

Hi Mari, Dave and Rhi,
I just happened to look at an old email which had the bcf website on it and then I saw Prayer for Mari on it. I followed it through and then found out about what you are going through.
I am so sorry to learn of what condition you have, but will be praying for you and for your full healing and recovery.
God is the same yesterday today and forever and i believe in miracles of all sorts.
Dave and Rhi we will be praying for you guys too in all of this as concerned parents. It is so hard when you see your own go through these things, we pray that you will be surrounded with His love and protection at this time.
You are all so much part of our past and as we reflect on what God has done, you are there as leaders in BCF, people who have as a family been prepared to be different, even though you have suffered yourselves you are always prepared to say that God is good.
We have been through a hard patch too, me (Julian) not having my contract renewed in the school Chaplaincy job, so are looking for new work, and also meaning a house move as well. We are experiencing God's peace and leading however, and we pray that too for you all at this time.
Maybe someday we will all meet up again hopefully. Well this comes with our love and we will look to see the progress that will be made.
Yours, Julian and Sarah Aldous & family xx
