Back in England.

Just wanted to let you know that we are now safely back in Bristol.
An enormous thank you to all in NZ who sent me off with so much love and support. I can't thank you enough. I am convinced that your on-going support is every bit as beneficial as any medical treatment.

I was encouraged before I left NZ, my GP spoke with us ( she is the one who made the initial diagnosis) and commented on the "significiant shift" in prognosis. Right from the start she was working on the assumption the cancer was stage 4 so she was pretty amazed at the latest news. I'm sure this "significant shift" is a result of your love and prayers.

I am meeting with Specialists this week ( Friday, 11.30 am)so I should get a treatment plan soon. They want to start me on chemotherapy a.s.a.p (and possibly radiotherapy at a later stage). The treatment sounds very unpleasant, it is a daunting prospect. We will keep updating this blog.

Again my love and thanks to you all for your messages, prayers and kindness. God bless,
Mari xx

So good to know you are there safe and sound Mari. :) I am continuing to pray for further 'significant shifts' in the prognosis, how wonderful to have it noticed and commented on in that way.
Lovely to see your face before you left, and you keep smiling at us from the blog.
Much love to you all, Judith XX

Mari! I have known your parents and the BCF family for a long time yet never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I know you by reputation from so many people who rave about you!
Just found out what has been happening, reading the blog I am amazed to see how God is carrying you all, I just read this verse this morning which I want to give you...
"Is.46:Even to your old age and grey hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you."

In fact I was sent a tape a while back of you speaking at BCF which was a great encouragement both to myself and a friend (who is about to head off to do christian counselling with sex workers in Chad!) I guess the fact we've never met will encourage you that God has and is using your life so powerfully and I know He will keep on carrying you with His love and faithfulness. I will be praying for you all, lots of love to Dave and Rhi!

heya hun,
How are you? Jon and I are now in Dubai - about to hop on a plane home... Been thinking of ya and Phil heaps, and when we were in your neck of the woods(near Wales and London) we were desperately trying to get in touch with you to see if you're up for a visit - hence all the messages and texts... but no emails... Anyway babe - so sorry it didn't work out this time, but no doubt we'll be back over sometime in the next year or so... Jon sends lots of love tooo.

p.s. Jess, Faith and Eli have moved in to Glenalmond...
